Classic kaiju
Many of the Kinnikuman characters evoke classic kaiju styled combatants to add a monster appeal to their forms. Blending professional wrestling theatrics with myths and science fiction this menacing fellow is definitely a creature of his own.
Hailing from Planet Hydra his hydra hinting crown of antenna emphasizes intimidating force. Thick limbs, scaled textures and snarling faces make the figures silhouette stand out for many collectors even among the Kinnikuman worlds other outlandish competitors.
His contributions in the story arcs weren’t central or recurring as a common villain, but he reinforced the vast imagination possible in the galaxies created by Yudetamago. When he was introduced to the North American markets by Mattel in the M.U.S.C.L.E. line he was a welcome figure with a pointy head worthy of annoying siblings.
For collectors the purple variant of this figure often piles up being one of the most common figures in the series in general. However, being a space kaiju, his figure could find its way into the storyline of any imagination’s plot line and make it more interesting.
With such a unique character likeness it’s tough not to like the figure form that’s produced its own fan following. Providing another excellent example of the imaginations that his original creators share in their many still popular forms.
