Final boss energy
A favorite character to many, Akuma Shogun (aka Gold Man) is one of the most powerful and important antagonists in the Kinnikuman universe. To fans of the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line however his identity had to be provided by imagination as his name and story were unbranded by Mattel for the import series of figures. Though many may have also already knew him as the God of Battle whose soul is carried in a golden mask and leader of the Devil Chojin, his mere form makes him great to those unaware of his backstories.

Fitting to his form acting as a major villain before evolving as a character into the story arcs with twists of the power of the mask and leading the Six Devil Knights. Luckily his likeness was one of the sculpts carried from the original Japanese keshi figures when Mattel brought them to the English markets. As the figure holds fond nostalgia for many of the era, thanks to the original creators of the Kinnikuman universe a creative pair of friends going by Yudetamago of Japan.
Merciless in his pursuit for domination he carries multiple entertaining techniques in his appearances but when in physical form has devastating trademark moves. Like the Hell’s Nine Point Seal, a lethal strike combo to nine vital parts of the body. Or the Hell’s Merry-Go-Round, an aerial spinning attack slashing with the blades in his gauntlets as this figure portrays.

As for his role as one of the Millions Of Unusual Creatures Lurking Everywhere he’s definitely a fan favorite to many appearing in different forms within the series other figures. Finding out about his origins among hundreds of other characters in an expansive manga still popular and produced in Japan here 40+ years later just adds to the fantastic stories he tells.
