Going ballistic

If all you knew the character by was the ICBM stamped across his chest then you already knew his name before you may have known his identity. Since it was lost in the import licensing for Mattel with their M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line to the English markets the identities of characters (or Creatures) were filled in by the imagination unless you were familiar with original manga and keshi figures of the same form but different material and color variants.

With origins rooted in the imaginative universe created by a pair of friends in Japan who cleverly mix exaggerated wrestling themed story arcs and characters known as Kinnikuman, who’s also the main protagonist of the series. While ICBM may be a lesser known or really recurring character his form contributed to the expansive visual background character lineup that are still popular and produced today by the artistic combo known as Yudetamago 40+ years later.

Fashioned to include the likeness of an ICBM Missile this figure is a striking concept and conveys explosive combat as his gimmick. Emphasizing destructive force over calculated strategy, but realistically just a minor combatant helping set the stage for greater plot lines. Appearing randomly in tournament arcs or group conflicts is his main presentation areas.

M.U.S.C.L.E. #118 ICBM

He may not be one of the primary featured roles but does have a few of his own signature moves adding to his entertaining persona including the Self-Propelled Strike, and the Missile Charge. Whereas you may guess he launches himself at opponents attempting to overwhelm them with a delivered attack using mass and speed. In the memories of the fans though, he was whatever they wanted the acronym to mean as imaginations might.
