With so many odd and obscure character likenesses used in the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line there’s a particular trio of henchman known that dawned recognizable shapes on their faces long before the Squid Games TV shows were ever even a thought. Courtesy of the artistic pair of Japanese friends known collectively as Yudetamago who still produce the hugely popular original Kinnikuman universe where the Mattel figures got their start before licensed to import for the Western market under the new branding with lost identities.

Among these Bermuda III (C) (sharing a name with his identical triplet brothers that are the other two Bermuda characters generally recognized as A, B, and C) or as simply, the three. Creating a unique and cipher like presence with brief yet memorable appearances that we like to think help inspire the character designs of the popular Korean show where henchman also sport masks with the same shapes present that appeared decades after.
Evoking thoughts of the Bermuda Triangle hinting at danger and mystery and including a Black Hole associated “BH” emblazoned on the chest. They may not be primary featured characters in the original manga and anime but adds another distinct form to the hundreds of figures found the expansive story arcs appearing alongside his similarly marked brethren.

Easily identified but often confused for one of the other variants that share the generalized identity he found himself as a fan favorite with a mysterious persona that allowed flexibility in imagination for his role in play time shenanigans. He may also be one of the more common figures found in all his color variants, he’s modeled directly from an original Japanese keshi figure but in a different material and color palette.

The trio together operate as team (and triplet brothers) obstacle with minor appearances and utilizing general wrestling prowess. Reflecting a generalized wrestling theme that Kinnikuman revolves around while incorporating interesting and exaggerated features such as the shapes their cavernous faces display.
For fans of the franchise whether aware of their identity origins or creating their own from scratch. The figures brought imagination and unique character design into the memories of fans all over the world even still today.
