Space warrior
Lesser known but a presence that easily creates an aura of ominous intent as a warrior antagonist from a group called the Space Bandits in his origins from the enormous Kinnikuman universe. The figure of Black Tomahawk is one of the few weapon wielding figures amongst the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line that was imported from select forms of the Kinnikuman keshi figures of Japan. Making him a fan favorite for epic imagination battles likely far greater than his actual appearances in the original manga and anime still created by the pair of artistic friends known together as Yudetamago.
While not a central character playing more of a secondary background role contributing the immense roster of visually intriguing superhuman wrestler beings. His double axe combat-ready motif and science-fiction inspired face on humanoid body also make him the widest figure in the series.
Appearing in some group conflicts or tournament arcs as a challenging obstacle for greater primary characters his role tends to be a mid-tier opponent but always defeated. Allowing others to showcase growth and technique against his brute aggressor combat style. Teaming with the like-minded villains of his faction from space he brings a monster likeness into the scenes for visual diversity as well as a potential foe.
With his notable moves including the Spinning Cutter, rotating his blades outreached to attach and defend in radius, to his Tomahawk Slash which is exactly what it sounds like. He’s not a character of depth or great backstory but found his way into the imaginative combat scenarios of youth around the world often.
While details from the original Japanese manga and anime lineage contained in the decades worth of Kinnikuman story lines is still slowly being learned and translated. The fans of the Mattel toy line are finding entirely new reasons to love the characters they came to love.
