Audio Visual Fighter
The character whose design inspirations may be lost on the newer generation but still a beloved favorite to many fans. Formed from various parts that are since left behind in the analog history of audio and visual recording Mr. VTR is a creative amalgamation robot. With his likeness based on the equipment of a Video Tape Recorder and relevant other components bringing a reality-based robo-Chojin to the roster of entertaining characters in the Kinnikuman universe.
As one of the most inventive characters brought to us by his origins in the imagination of two talented friends that created the original Kinnikuman series. He show’s another creative figure brought-to-life by the artistic duo called Yudetamago introduced in the Throne Succession story arc combining (at-the-time) new technology and exaggerated combat aimed characters based in their superhuman wrestling themed manga.

Despite his relatively brief appearances his character form quickly became a favorite to fans with his unique body created with television production equipment. Being themed after 1970s-80s broadcast equipment technology reflected a fascinating time in the era as analog remained king, but the franchise would embrace digital eventually also. A clever gimmick-based theme for a character design that helped fuel the imaginations of a generation. While his mechanical presences revolve around recording, editing, and manipulating video footage.
Serving on team Mariposa during the battle for the throne of Planet Kinniku, he’s able to overwhelm Kinnikuman himself by using his video-editing abilities to affect reality itself. Freezing movement, shrinking and enlarging opponents, and even “editing” events of reality making him a formidable foe.
He’s ultimately defeated by the main protagonist but not before aiding his teammate with edited footage of his match. Making is fighting abilities unique with signature moves including the Action Stop, Scene Changer.
