Black army soldiers
To those familiar with the origins of the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures that Mattel imported from Japan and became a 1980s phenomenon, Black Satan is not a reference to only one character but five. As members of the villainous Black Army (a name given long before western society shifted towards overly criticizing anything deemed politically incorrect by perception) as more an alien force. Their appearances are limited and secondary to other antagonists such as their leader for which their orders come known as the Black Emperor.

Adding to the visual roster of the enormous Japanese manga and anime franchise known as Kinnikuman to which the main protagonist shares the name. Their sinister character design revolves around an anonymous henchman type appearance ready to carry out any malicious intent as commanded.
To collectors the figure is known as one of the most mass-produced in the series making it one of the most often completed color sets and often found duplicated multiple times among collections. Like many supporting villains they help reinforce the variety of unique characters that the original creators of the franchise shared with the world.

Created by a pair of long time Japanese friends who go by the shared identity of Yudetamago, they present another ominous form of the villain archetypes common in the franchise. While not possessing any notable strengths or special abilities, they serve more of a role in contributing to the already enormous roster of forms in the Kinnikuman universe.

While not an overly eccentric character design the figure does have many fans. If not just for the figures ability to blend with many imaginations led story lines.
A minion of pure diabolical creation, but an entertaining facet of the arcs none the less.
