The rock monster
This creatively design Chojin appeared in the early tournament arcs of the Kinnikuman galaxy created by Yudetamago originally in Japan. This rock inspired creature appropriately named Iwao which translates to “rock man” reflects his rugged stone like appearance that was quickly a fan favorite when introduced to the American market by Mattel in their 1980s M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line.

Resembling living bed rock his fighting style centers on crushing body presses and heavy slams using sheer mass and density to flatten opponents. While not a predominantly featured character with recurring appearances or full time inclusion as a pivotal villain. This wrestling phenomenon aligned perfectly with the exaggerated superhuman combatants that defines the series.
As one of the Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere aka M.U.S.C.L.E. figures that made its way to the shores of the new markets his original identity didn’t follow. So while many children of the era may have not known his name or original Kinnikuman character, his name was often inherited naturally simply by his cragged physique.

Many collectors choose this figure for their army collecting as a nostalgic favorite from childhood from the multiple colors he was released in. His compact yet heavy looking form makes him stand out among the more humanoid figures allowing your imagination to fill in the lack of backstory to fill that of your own adventures with toys.
