An island legend
As one of the most respected and emotionally significant characters in the Kinnikuman manga galaxy, Prince Kamehame is a legendary champion from the islands of Hawaii. He serves as the mentor to Kinnikuman on Earth, training the once clumsy hero into the Chojin warrior he is meant to be.
Wise and disciplined, as well as immensely powerful and balanced the strength and honor that the prince exudes defines a true wrestling master. In his prime he was renowned for his mastery of devastating finishing moves, most notably credited with perfecting and teaching the Kinniku Buster which becomes Kinnikumans signature attack technique.
Representing a balance of strength and stoic wisdom his fighting styles combine classic grappling with overwhelming power emphasizing precision and control versus brute aggression. Even after his death in the series his spirit continues to guide and inspire his student during battles where his memory serves as a guiding light in the storyline.
When Mattel released the selective figures of the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line into the new North American markets his name and history did not follow. However English-speaking fans later found out about this pivotal protagonist and his guidance that forged the champion we’ve come to know and love.
Especially with the unique talent of the series original creators, a creative pair of friends who go by Yudetamago from Japan. For creating many characters as respectful tribute to real-life personas.
A direct tribute to the first recognized ruler of Hawaii, King Kamehame. Represented as a 999-time Hawaiin heavyweight champion that taught Kinnikuman the 48 Killer Techniques the became signature moves like the Kinniku Buster. Making him an iconic figure in both the real world, and the Kinnikuman universe that’s still growing and produced today.
