A Ninjitsu Chojin

Known from his appearances from Kinnikuman and the later Nisei arc children had no problem knowing The Ninja name even though it didn’t formally follow when Mattel introduced the series to the English-speaking markets. Evident from his appearance he’s indeed a ninja with strategic attacks such as Hellfire Feather Jitsu.

Renamed as Ninja Ned in the later Ultimate Muscle series this character stands out in the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line as Ninja myth was incredibly popular at the time in American markets. Originally a Justice Chojin but later joining ranks among the Devil Chojin after pledging his allegiance to Satan after grieving for 49 days for his fallen friends and presented with a deal.

A kind and compassionate character up until his village is destroyed driving him towards a cold and cruel persona. Not entirely evil after his re-affiliation but still a tricky opponent that shows a sadistic side while fighting. He remained a loyal Devil Knight after his character shift and fought alongside the likes of Ashuraman, and Akuma Shogun.

An original creation of the artistic duo Yudetamago his likeness was well known in Japan and was an easy choice for his inclusion in the character lineup to be introduced in North America re-branded as M.U.S.C.L.E. (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere). With the concept of the Ninja enthusiasm high at the time with introductions of other series like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and multiple others, it’s no surprise he found himself as a contender in many nostalgic backyard battles.
