Masked justice
Designed around the concept of aerial combat Sky Man stands out as a heroic classic wrestling character in his Kinnikuman origins. With his bird like mask he appears to accentuate his style of fast strikes and diving attacks. This Lucha Libre styled contender is a technical opponent that stands a formidable obstacle. In fact, the “1000” on his forehead is a direct tribute to the legendary Mexican luchador Mil Máscaras, whose name translates to “1,000 Masks”.

Appearing during the international tournament story arcs as an honorable competitor aligned with the Justice Chojin he’s not a primary protagonist. His character is more to demonstrate the range in wrestling styles present in the Kinnikuman universe originally created in Japan by the artistic duo Yudetamago.
When his figure appeared in the new North American markets imported by Mattel and branded as M.U.S.C.L.E. his name didn’t follow but many affectionately may have known him by others like bird man. His matches would highlight prowess and agility using acrobatic techniques rather than shear brute strength.

While his combat techniques weren’t often showcased or given great attention some signature moves did get displayed including the Aerial Body Press, the Wing Cutter, and the Sky Dive involving a high-flying dive upon his enemies. Keeping him in line with the notion that even the more human portrayed characters all carried tremendous abilities.
