Shifting stone
A formidable villain who landed himself as an instant hit in his various figure forms introduced to English-speaking markets by the Mattel M.U.S.C.L.E. series in the mid 80s. Sunshine appears multiple times in the toy line as well in the Keshi figure lines it originated from in Japan for the Kinnikuman wrestling universe created by a pair of artists named Yudetamago.

As most M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors wouldn’t find out until much later, his character is true to his presence as a notorious Devil Chojin who possesses one of the most unusual fighting traits. With an amorphic body composed entirely of sandy blocks that can shift and reform at his will. An ability he wields well with mighty attacks that make him a menacing obstacle for other contenders in combat.
Cruel and arrogant, while extremely confident in his regenerative powers he transforms and traps opponents in brutal techniques including his trademark Sunshine Crusher, and Sand Hell trapping and crushing enemies with his mass. Introduced in the Seven Devil Chojin story arc, this towering golden antagonist becomes a main character opposing Kinnikuman and his allies.

Sunshine teams up with fellow Devil Chojin Ashuraman to form one of the most intimidating duos fighting in the Kinnikuman universe, and at the same time creating one of the most favorite pairings by fans and collectors alike. Although initially a simple brutal bad guy later story lines explore more depth to his character and expand his role that continues in the Kinnikuman universe still today.
