Some figures imported into the English-speaking markets from Japan transferred some forms that could be questioned in their depictions. Since their story wasn’t included with the Mattel rebranding for the M.U.S.C.L.E. series it was up to the imaginations for western fans of the Kinnikuman universe. Pentagon is an example of one of the visually striking characters that made the Yudetamago created characters so loved for diversity in appearance.
Even though in his origins he’s not included in the central hero focus his unique ability for time manipulation makes him an interesting character. The five-point star emblazoned on his face is just one facet of his highly creative fighting style with temporal control.
Designed with a humanoid stature and a mix of superhero and angel imagery with his trademark time control origins it’s no surprise he probably got more appearances in the home-made wrestling rings of fans for his figure.
Pentagon’s offensive techniques are unpredictable and often aerial but include the Flying Cross, Clock Counter, and the Clock Stop where time is temporarily paused allowing him to move and strike in frozen time. This allows him to compete with strategy versus brute strength, matched with his unusual design and possible imagination roles it’s no wonder he made it in the figure series.
