Shape shifting trickster
Most early M.U.S.C.L.E. fans don’t even know this character’s backstory, or his other form figures included in the Mattel series imported from Japan. So Sneagator goes by many names, but all his figures are some of the most popular of the toy line, especially as his form of the The Claw.
However, this unusual villain from the creative powerhouse duo Yudetamago is one of the many famous and bizarre Chojin of the Kinnikuman universe. Appearing in multiple forms as a shape shifting reptilian kaiju is a member of the elite Six Devil Knights.
Not a primary character but instead serves as a formidable fighter and strict mentor to his allies by pushing with a cruel and mocking demeanor to toughen their warriors. In this figure form he appears as an odd crocodile inspired combatant with a laced torso and sneakers (a shared sneaker-based motif that appears in different forms of his).
Appearing in his first battles at Budokan Stadium his tricks and transformations to his fighting style were on display to receptive audiences. With some signature moves in this form including Bite Attacks, and the Wani Jigoku (Crocodile Hell) move using terrifying illusions to disorient his opponents. As far as Kinnikuman characters most recognized by 80s kids go though, his other forms are much more popular but, in any form, always a welcome wrestler.
