Wrestling shish kebab
One of the more humorously fated Chojin in the Kinnikuman world most North American consumers would have never guess his name. Coming from the now famous duo Yudetamago who are known for their creative transforming of everyday things into formidable combatants. This character in his M.U.S.C.L.E. figure form doesn’t depict his being as stacked chunks of meat and vegetables that form his body.
Essentially a living kebab brought into the wrestling world that pairs comedic culinary inspiration and outlandish stereotypes that Kinnikuman is known and loved for. Often playing many generic roles in the imagination of his young fans.
Shishkeba Boo was among the characters selected for adaptation. His elongated, segmented body translated especially well into the simplified sculpting style of the M.U.S.C.L.E. line. One of the most commonly found figures of the Mattel toy line from the 1980 era.
Though never a central hero or villain, his appearance in the M.U.S.C.L.E. line helped cement his place in the broader legacy of Kinnikuman lore and many collectors are happy to add him to their collections. His name can be a fun tongue twister but once you know his origin as a satirical superhuman wrestler made of food he takes on a whole new dynamic to his character back-story.
