The paper miira

Yep, exactly what you may have thought even without knowing the characters Japanese origins before it was brought to the North American markets by Mattel for the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy series. This odd creature’s named for his composition as Toilet Paper Mummy or Paper Miira in the Kinnikuman universe created by the creative duo Yudetamago that still carries on today.

Not a primary story line villain or character recognizable to some, the quirky figure adds perfectly to the background variety of hundreds of different wrestling-based forms across the manga arcs. Combining the image of a mummy mixed with the comedic delivery of toilet paper as the base.

In the animation series his appearance reflects the guise as a head fashioned from a wall mounted toilet dispenser with a smaller role on top, and a body of one large roll. Which also plays into some other likened heroes that exist in the Kinnikuman universe such as Puri-Puri Man whose form never made it in with the beloved M.U.S.C.L.E. figure line of the 1980s.

M.U.S.C.L.E. #80 Toilet Paper Mummy

Secondary to most scenes but a competitor none the less, as you might expect this Chojin packs his own signature techniques including the Pharaoh’s Paper Strike, Mummy Hold, and the Bandage Bind using his retractable sheets to immobilize an opponent. Another one of the interesting Millions of Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere that is a nostalgia piece for many around the globe.
