Some figures stand out in among the M.U.S.C.L.E. figure series that would have been great to know a little more about but had their identities lost in the rebranding for introduction to the English-speaking markets by Mattel. Like this nightmare fuel of a creepy pair of eyes apparently acting as a face to an otherwise headless creature.

However, Magnitude One (“Ichi“) Man in his origins as a minor character in the Kinnikuman universe created in Japan by the artist duo Yudetamago brings a personality with him regardless. Appearing as one of the hundreds of dynamic characters in the original manga this blended Chojin of intriguing character design evokes immense physical force and a formidable obstacle as an opponent.

His seismic force belongs to the broader pool of secondary and cameo wrestlers that appear throughout tournaments and background visuals. Adding to the expanding roster of unique characters appearing throughout the story arcs that make the Kinnikuman franchise even still popular yet today.

Though fans at the time may not have known his name is ominous likeness was often a favorite in the imaginations of playground battles of the time. No doubt a favorite to many whether introduced via the original keshi figure lines in Japan or the later Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere to series introduced by Mattel in different materials and colors later through the mid 1980s that easily became one of the major successes of the time.
