One of the numerous background villains with interesting details like the eyes on his belt, Kyoaku Chojin is a visually striking generic antagonist. Acting as one of a trio (hence the B) henchman of the more prominent character Octopus Dragon. However, to fans introduced to the figure by way of the Mattel M.U.S.C.L.E. toys he’s a blade handed villain archetype that found his way too many imaginative play time battles.

As creepy as his persona depicts, the name he’s given translates roughly to “Vicious” with appearances as simply an interchangeable henchman. Hundreds of secondary background characters exist in the expansive manga and anime series originating from Japan and produced by a pair of creative friends collectively known as Yudetagamo.
These types of characters populate the ever expanding roster of unique forms of characters that dot the landscape of group conflicts and tournament crowds. Often acting as intermediate obstacles to the primary characters as they proceed through various story arcs. The beauty of the characters that Yudetamago has created for their Kinnikuman world is their unique likeness lends to the imagination of the holder.

The shear visual variety of superhuman inspired fictional over-the-top wrestling character designs were received differently between the original Japanese keshi toy series and the rebranded M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line. With many characters finding a new fan base purely on popularity of a figures likeness rather than their placement in the original story lines.

So while he may be another bizarre background character, his figures details alone allow him to take on whole new identities driven by the imagination of the holder. A real tribute to the creativity that produces the entertaining characters still today by the same pair of friends that began it all.
